Youth Programs Intern
The Dallas Wings and Panther City Lacrosse Club are seeking a Youth Programs Intern. The Youth Programs Intern will have the opportunity to observe and practice our mission. Our mission is to empower young athletes and promote the growth of girls’ basketball.

The Dallas Wings and Panther City Lacrosse Club are seeking a Youth Programs Intern. The Youth Programs Intern will have the opportunity to observe and practice our mission. Our mission is to empower young athletes and promote the growth of girls’ basketball.
Areas you will be learning about:
- Event Management: Assist in planning and shadowing youth basketball events, clinics, and programs
- Inventory Organization: Manage and organize basketball equipment and promotional materials
- Community Engagement: Assist in building and maintaining positive relationships within the community to promote youth basketball and lacrosse initiatives
- Girls Basketball Growth: Actively contribute and research programs and facilities that encourage the growth and participation of girls in basketball
- Lacrosse Growth: Actively contribute and research programs and facilities that encourage the growth and participation of lacrosse
- Front Office Exposure: Gain insights into the inner workings of a professional sports team's front office, including administrative tasks and collaboration with various departments
Learning Opportunities:
- Work closely with the Sr. Manager of Youth Programs
- Observe and practice how to manage partnerships and community relationships
- Observe and practice how to execute community events
- Observe and practice how to plan and successfully run youth clinics
- Observe and practice how to produce great work results through organization, integrity, effective communication and proactive problem solving
- Observe and practice how to focus on small details and accuracy in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Observe and practice how to apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Skill Requirements:
- Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to Multi-Task
- Creative Thinker
- Able to lift/carry objects up to 15 lbs
Preferred Experience:
- Community involvement
- Marketing including but not limited to marketing, graphic design, communications
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to work non-traditional and long hours including evening and weekends
- Students must be currently enrolled at an accredited university; in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
- Ability to travel within the Dallas community for outreach and events
