Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assistant Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing a variety of events, ensuring that each occasion runs smoothly and meets the expectations of our clients. Your expertise in guest services and hospitality will be essential in creating memorable experiences for attendees.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to understand their event needs and objectives.
- Develop event concepts, themes, and timelines while managing budgets effectively.
- Coordinate logistics including venue selection, catering, transportation, and accommodations.
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality service delivery.
- Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all details are executed as planned.
- Provide exceptional customer service to guests before, during, and after events.
- Implement marketing strategies to promote events and drive attendance.
- Upsell additional services or packages to enhance the overall event experience.
- Maintain organized records of contracts, invoices, and correspondence related to events.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning or coordination within a hospitality setting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with catering services and vendor management is preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with attention to detail.
- Clean MVR for the past 5 years. (Must provide a copy at your expense if requested)
- Must be ready to work in a commercial kitchen which includes but not limited to, cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, cleaning fryers, taking out trash, scrubbing floors, etc.…

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $480.00 - $650.00 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Evenings as needed
- Extended hours
- Holidays
- Nights as needed
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Events management: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- Moultrie, GA 31768: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
