Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced WebFOCUS Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Web Focus solutions to deliver comprehensive business intelligence and reporting capabilities. This role requires a deep understanding of Web Focus architecture, report development, and the ability to work with complex datasets while ensuring seamless integration with other systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain WebFOCUS reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support business intelligence needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting requirements and translate them into scalable WebFOCUS solutions.
- Lead the migration of complex reports and dashboards from WebFOCUS to Power BI, addressing migration challenges and ensuring smooth transitions.
- Optimize WebFOCUS workflows and queries to improve performance, reduce processing time, and enhance system efficiency.
- Integrate diverse data sources into WebFOCUS, including relational databases, cloud platforms, and external systems using ETL processes.
- Perform data modeling and design efficient database schemas to support complex reporting needs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with WebFOCUS reports, including performance tuning and resolving data inconsistencies.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and governance by implementing best practices for data handling and security.
- Document technical processes, report structures, and workflows to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing.
- Provide training and support to end-users on WebFOCUS tools, best practices, and report interpretation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a WebFOCUS Developer with a strong background in designing and developing reports and dashboards.
- Expertise in WebFOCUS tools, including App Studio, ReportCaster, and Data Migrator.
- Experience with ETL processes and integrating data from multiple sources, including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and APIs.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and relational database design.
- Ability to optimize Web Focus reports for performance and scalability.
- Experience in migrating reports from Web Focus to Power BI or other modern BI platforms.
- Knowledge of SQL, including query optimization and stored procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex reporting issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience in documenting technical processes and providing training to end-users.
