Position: Assistant Project Manager – Multifamily Construction
Location: Austin
Overview:
We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful execution of horizontal multifamily communities. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of residential construction experience, with an understanding of multifamily developments and/or single-family production homebuilding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily project coordination, including managing RFIs, submittals, and project documentation.
- Assist the Project Manager in OAC (Owner, Architect, Contractor) meetings, ensuring clear communication and issue resolution.
- Review and verify construction plans to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Support budget tracking, contract management, and cost control efforts.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain project schedules.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address challenges proactively.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
Qualifications:
- 2-6 years of experience in construction, with a strong focus on multifamily projects or single-family production homebuilding.
- Familiarity with RFIs, submittals, plan verification, and OAC meetings.
- Understanding of construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
