- Experience working with FHIR: data validation between entities, FHIR data flow, mapping to FHIR entities
- Lead and conduct business analysis in order to assess client's business problems/opportunities at varying levels of detail appropriate to the project, aligning with OPS Unified Project Management Methodology, Enterprise Architecture and Gating Process, and OPS Standard
- Experience grooming and assembling requirements into coherent user stories and use cases and managing the Product Backlog Items, refining them and communicate changes to project manager/Team Lead
- Meet with the Product Owner and end-users to understand the team's work
- Act as a proxy Product Owner for the team, where the BA answers questions or facilitates decisions on behalf of an absent Product Owner
- Conduct business modeling; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions
- Working effectively with other teams (developers, analysts, business stakeholders) to ensure the data model meets business and technical requirements
- Good communication skills to explain complex data modeling concepts to non-technical business users and ensure alignment with their needs
- Experience with agile practices, including sprints, user stories, and iterative development, especially when working in an agile data environment
- knowledge of emerging IT trends and technologies
- Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
- Experience how to create and interpret Entity-Relationship Diagrams to represent the relationships between different data entities
- Strong skills in SQL query, manipulate, and retrieve data from relational databases.
- Relational Databases: Experience with relational databases like Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and platforms
- Ability to analyze data patterns, structures, and business requirements to define an optimal data model
- Experience working with FHIR to map entities to FHIR entities and to perform data validation between entities, FHIR data flow, mapping to FHIR entities
- Experience with conceptual data model to describe FHIR data flow
- Ability to document data requirements from source DB to FHIR service in Azure Data Services
- Experience with data migration projects
- Experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools to document conceptual requirements and scope such as Power Designer
- Experience to create data models at different levels of abstraction and then map them to physical data storage.
- Ability to translate business requirements into effective data models that align with organizational goals
- Documenting definitions, structures, and rules for data elements
- Experience with database normalization techniques and when to apply denormalization for performance optimization.
