What are the responsibilities and job description for the CARDIAC CATH RAD TECH position at Dameron Hospital?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: administers roentgen rays and radioactive source to patients. Operates X-ray equipment, processes images in the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS), prepares patient and supplies for all procedures. Keeps physicians informed of wave forms, pressures, EKG changes and is aware of physician's procedural needs. Assists physicians in all procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab using imaging modalities, hemodynamic monitoring equipment or scrubbing as the assistant to the physician. Must take call on a rotating basis with a 30-minute call-back time. Must be able to perform jobs in all patient care and operational areas subject to reasonable accommodations, also be able to employ all mandatory safety devices and procedures. Must participate in the Respiratory Protection Program, which may include the wearing of a respirator. This is a union position. See Essential Job Functions.
Education:
As established by Radiologic Health Sciences of California to obtain license.
Experience:
Two years Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred.
Licenses/Certificates:
California State CRT license,
Current BLS Certification through AHA required
California State Fluoroscopy Permit
