Job Title: Cath Lab Radiology Technician (Inventory & Administration Support)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Radiology Technician to join our team. This role involves performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the catheterization lab while also supporting administrative tasks and managing inventory. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in radiologic imaging and the ability to assist in maintaining the smooth operation of the lab by ensuring proper equipment and supplies are available and performing clerical tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Radiology Technician Duties:
· Operate imaging equipment (e.g., fluoroscopy, X-ray machines) to assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
· Position patients for imaging exams while ensuring comfort and safety.
· Maintain accurate patient records, including procedural logs and imaging results.
· Ensure all imaging equipment is functioning properly and perform routine maintenance checks.
· Assist the physician and other medical staff during cath lab procedures.
· Maintain a sterile field and follow infection control procedures.
· Prepare and administer contrast media and other required medications under supervision.
Inventory Management:
· Monitor and manage inventory levels of cath lab supplies, including imaging contrast agents, catheters, sterile equipment, and other medical supplies.
· Order and restock supplies as necessary, ensuring no shortages during procedures.
· Assist in the tracking and organization of inventory items, ensuring proper storage and handling according to health and safety regulations.
· Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of products.
Administrative Support:
· Assist with patient scheduling, ensuring appropriate time slots are allocated for procedures.
· Maintain patient files, including scheduling updates, procedural information, and imaging results.
· Prepare and assist with billing documentation for insurance and patient records.
· Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other hospital departments regarding patient care and inventory needs.
· Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, and organizing reports.
· Support the management team with data analysis and reporting of lab performance metrics.
Qualifications:
· Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
· Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)- Preferred
· Current state licensure in Radiologic Technology and current state fluoro license.
· At least 1-2 years of experience in a cath lab or similar healthcare setting preferred.
· Strong knowledge of radiologic equipment and procedures, specifically in a cath lab environment.
· Basic knowledge of inventory management and administrative tasks in a healthcare setting.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand for extended periods and assist in lifting patients or equipment as needed.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
Working Conditions:
· Exposure to radiation and use of personal protective equipment.
· Potential exposure to infectious materials; adherence to health and safety guidelines is essential.
