POSITION SUMMARY:
The Director of Operations (DOO) position directs, administers, and coordinates the internal operational activities of the organization in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives established by the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, and the Board of Directors. Leads and directs the following functions and/or business units: operations, Maintenance, Security, Environmental Services, Materials Management, information systems, traffic, new business coordination, and agency promotion and communication. Assists the CEO in the development of organization policies and goals that cover operations, personnel, financial performance, and growth of the functions and/or business units mentioned above. The DOO provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that the facility has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. The position accomplishes this through a respectful, ethical, constructive and energetic style, guided by the mission and objectives of the hospital.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or courses in management and/or medical field.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in managerial experience in a healthcare institution in the specific management functions of finance and strategic planning. Requires knowledge of organization policies, procedures, systems and objectives. Knowledge of CA healthcare regulatory guidelines and compliances requirements.
Licenses/Certificates: Preferred, but not necessary if above is well met: college degree or courses in management and/or medical field.
