About you -
We are seeking a Wedding Production Labor Associate for Damselfly Designs! The Wedding Production Labor Associate will play a pivotal role on-site at our events by owning all the various aspects of event production. This is a unique opportunity that requires strong physical ability as well as a high level of professionalism to interact directly with our event clients and partners.
In this role you’ll be on the front lines, ensuring seamless setups and strikes for our weddings and events. You’ll embrace the physicality of the role, the unpredictability of the event world, and the satisfaction of creating magical moments that last a lifetime!
Responsibilities:
- Participate in on-site setups of wedding events, following direction from leadership to ensure detailed precision in arranging rentals, florals, and event staging.
- Break down wedding setups during strikes, including packing rentals and cleaning up venues, following direction from leadership.
- Load and unload trucks pre- and post-event, rain or shine.
- Safely operate large vehicles (vans/box trucks) with event materials.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times.
- Review final proposals to verify the event breakdown and rentals list.
- Collaborate in preparing rental pull lists 10-12 days prior to events.
- Create job carts labeled with the standardized naming convention.
- Physically collect and pull all rental items for events, ensuring cleanliness.
- Process, cut, and maintain flowers as needed.
- Conduct quantity checks and maintain quality control, promptly alerting leadership to any issues.
- Mark items on carts and label them for day-of adjustments.
- Prepare containers, execute recipe pulls, and color code items.
- Clean and organize event inventory and the cooler.
- Identify and communicate restocking needs to leadership.
- Store boxes and miscellaneous items properly, assisting in sorting and disposing of older products.
- Engage in general warehouse upkeep, including sweeping, cleaning, organizing, breaking down boxes, and taking out garbage to ensure cleanliness.
- Manage warehouse operations as a key holder, turning off lights, locking doors, and adjusting heating/cooling systems.
Additional Duties:
- Regularly check emails for logistics schedules
- Responsible for logging miles and following the van procedure
- Communicate strike times for accurate hour logging
- Utilize specified lockbox codes at both the warehouse and designated locations with discretion
Requirements:
- Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50lbs
- Previous experience in event production or wedding setups required
- Comfortable standing and lifting for extended periods
- Proficient in the use of knives and/or bunch cutters
- Open availability, including weekends
- Ability for both onsite setup and strikes
- Ability to adhere to the dress code, wearing Damselfly Designs shirt, affiliated attire, or all black
