Dan Rak Design is a luxury interior design firm located in Chicago’s Grand Avenue Design District. We are a quickly growing firm focused largely on luxury residential clients. While the majority of our projects are located in the Chicagoland area, we're also regularly working on projects throughout the country.

OPPORTUNITY
We are currently looking to hire an interior design assistant. More specifically, we’re looking for :
A creative and detail-focused individual with a degree in interior design or architecture and 0-1 year of experience in residential interior design.

What you can expect to find here :
A high-performing, focused environment in a stylish office just outside the Loop;
A busy, fast-paced office where you'll be asked to manage competing demands and contribute to the team in a meaningful way. Working under the supervision of our senior designers and design director, you may be asked to prepare CAD drawings, presentation slides, proposals, to run errands, pull material samples or assist with on-site installations. No two days will be the same. This is an opportunity to gain experience at the top levels of residential interior design from the ground up.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture from a CIDA accredited program;
Professional experience with a high-end residential interior design firm (perhaps a plus, but not necessary);
Proficiency in AutoCAD (necessary for growth, but not required for this position)
Experience with ChiefArchitect, Home Designer, SketchUp, Studio Webware, Excel, and PowerPoint helpful;
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure;
A sense of color, scale and overall sense of style.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
Salary commensurate with experience;
Two weeks paid vacation, plus additional time off during the year for holidays;
