POSITION SUMMARY
Perform accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely completion of work in a variety of accounting functions. Support the CFO with advanced accounting support as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Statement of Tasks
- Take the lead with the monthly billing cycle.
- Fixed assets and depreciation and prepare annual personal property tax returns.
- Maintain process of job cost change orders
- Enter standard General Journal entries weekly.
- Assist with month end closing of General Ledger
- Prepare Financial Management Reports
- Collaborate with outside auditors on annual review.
- Prepare weekly payroll checks including associated reports and tax returns.
- Receive, code, and process accounts payable vendor and subcontractor invoices.
- Prepare and process accounts payable check runs weekly or as needed.
- Make recommendations for cost effective methods of accomplishing specific functions.
- Perform additional assignments assigned by the CFO.
EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Four-year Business or Accounting degree, CPA a plus
Experience: Two years’ construction accounting experience or equivalent combinations of training and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- MS Office software applications, Outlook, Sage 300
- Proficient with the use of computer programs
- Ability to multi-task
- Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
