We are seeking an Accountant who wants to use their knowledge to help grow our venture capital-backed business. Someone who is experienced in AP, audits, reconciliations, very organized, and a strong self-starter would be a perfect fit.
As an Accountant, some of your job duties will include:
· Accounts Payable (AP):
- Review and verify invoices and check requests
- Sort, code, and match invoices
- Set invoices up for payment
- Enter and upload invoices into the system
- Track expenses and process employee expense reports
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Maintain vendor files
· General Accounting Tasks:
- Assist with month-end close processes which includes, but is not limited to: calculating and posting monthly journal entries, maintaining accrual and prepaid calculations, maintaining fixed asset files and recording depreciation and amortization, reconciling bank accounts
- Provide supporting documentation for audits
- Tracking and recording physician payments and maintaining compliance with the Sunshine Act
- Assist in the preparation of monthly internal financial reports and presentations
- Filing, mailing documents, etc
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (GAAP) and regulations
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis
To be successful as an Accountant, you will have the following experiences and skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
· Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office products
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
· Exceptional drive, work ethic and initiative
· Energetic and enthusiastic personality who thrives on diversity and challenge in a role
· Must be able to work collaboratively and operate in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficient written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to be independently motivated
· Knowledge of continuous improvement process or methods, a bonus.
