What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Shipping/Receiving Supervisor position at Dana Incorporated?

Job Purpose
The job purpose of a 2nd shift Shipping and Receiving Supervisor is to oversee and manage the daily operations of the shipping and receiving department. This role ensures that all incoming and outgoing shipments are handled efficiently, accurately, and safely.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Setup and monitor daily “yard dog” routes with input from scheduling for next day pickups.
- Monitor inventory FIFO methods are being followed.
- Supervise cycle count activities and personnel
- Supervise Shipping / Receiving clerk ensuring accuracy and timely completion of paperwork.
- Obtain and ensure closing of Load Sheets for shipments.
- Review returnable dunnage and setup BOL and schedule Shipments as needed.
- Attend Daily Diamond meetings (if applicable)
- Manage Receiving dock for MRO, RPA, and FedEx transactions or shipments.
- Hold employees accountable for safety, transaction accuracy, housekeeping, and contractual agreements.
Ensure production lines are supplied with raw materials and ensure smooth flow of material throughout the plant.
Ensure outbound shipments to customers leave on time, ASN submission and Documentation completed.
Ensure Incoming supplier shipments are received on time, ASN receipts and documentation completed
Daily communication with planning team. Which from time to time will include reports to the materials team.
