What are the responsibilities and job description for the After School Instructor position at Dance Masters?
Duties:
- Provide performing arts related curriculum to students in various subjects, such as music, dance, singing, etc. (We train as well).
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage and motivate students
- Incorporate creative and interactive learning activities into sessions
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment
Skills:
- Strong communication skills to effectively explain complex concepts to students of different ages and learning abilities
- Patience and empathy when working with students who may be struggling academically or have special needs
- Excellent organizational skills to keep track of multiple students' progress and lesson plans
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
- Experience working with students in a tutoring, babysitting, daycare, or sports coaching setting is preferred
- Background in early childhood education, theater, music, dance, counseling, or related fields is a plus
