Duties
- Educate students in various dance styles through structured lessons and creative choreography.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Implement effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Engage with students individually and in groups, providing constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
- Organize and participate in dance recitals and performances to showcase student progress.
- Collaborate with other instructors on curriculum development to ensure a cohesive learning experience across classes.
- Utilize photography skills to capture moments during classes and performances for promotional purposes or student keepsakes.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students, particularly those in preschool or younger age groups.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in an educational or recreational setting is preferred.
- Strong background in dance with knowledge of various styles (ballet, jazz, hip-hop, etc.).
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development is highly desirable.
- Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a supportive atmosphere.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with students and parents effectively.
- A passion for teaching inspiring the next generation of dancers and artists.
Job Types: Part-time, Internship
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 10 per week
