Dance Team Union (DTU) is a leading dance team training and competition company in the United States, with a presence in over 35 states.
We are seeking a Dance Team Operations Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the planning and execution of DTU's national competitions, ensuring seamless operations from start to finish.
The successful candidate will have a background in events and the dance team industry, with extensive knowledge and experience using Google Sheets, Forms, Docs, etc. They will be comfortable and efficient using technology and learn to navigate new software quickly.
The ideal candidate will work independently and self-manage, be an excellent problem solver, and be comfortable working in a small business, team-oriented environment and be flexible to the company's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational plans for national competitions, ensuring timely and effective execution
- Collaborate with the Events Team to coordinate logistics, including venue selection, equipment rental, and staff management
- Oversee communication and delivery of client park tickets, meal tickets, apparel pre-orders, and any other deliverable ordered during the registration process
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure optimal pricing and service
- Monitor and analyze competition performance data to identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in event operations, preferably in the dance team industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
