The EV Specialist manages the successful implementation of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Charging & Fueling Infrastructure grant for the Dane County region.EXAMPLES OF DUTIES Manages implementation of federal grant, including all reporting functions. Manages competitive procurement processes and the associated contracts. Ensures all grants meet contractual deadlines for monitoring and report. Leads in developing County Board resolution language to authorize grants after being awarded. Leads periodic grant performance briefing meetings as necessary. Compiles quantitative and qualitative data to determine grant efficacy and comply with reporting requirements. Maintains all grant files in accordance with grantor expectations. Staffs meetings of the EV Advisory Commission. Supervises public outreach efforts including the work of subcontractors. Builds relationships with diverse stakeholder organizations and develops public-private partnerships. Represents the OECC in public forums and makes presentations to potential partner organizations and businesses. Liaison to a variety of grant partners including local municipalities, nonprofits and businesses in the region. Monitors, measures, evaluates and verifies program impacts.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Knowledge of government programs dealing with energy, transportation and/or agriculture/forestry. Experience creating and conducting surveys research, and/or grant writing. Experience creating newsletters, web pages, case studies and other outreach materials. Effective public speaking skills in front of small and large audiences. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion and social justice. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Highly motivated, self-starter. Excellent organizational and prioritizing skills. Must be proficient working with computers and related software including databases, word processing, and desktop publishing; this includes Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and experience with MailChimp or similar software.
