Job Summary :
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team at Danessa Myricks Beauty. The ideal candidate will manage core accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial records in line with company policies and industry standards. You will play an integral role in maintaining the company’s financial stability by overseeing daily accounting operations, focusing on general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and financial reporting. A strong understanding of accounting principles and a passion for the beauty industry will help you succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities :
- General Ledger Maintenance : Record daily financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Accounts Payable / Receivable : Process vendor invoices and customer payments, monitor aging reports, and ensure timely payments and collections.
- Reconciliation : Perform monthly bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Inventory Accounting : Collaborate with the inventory management team to ensure accurate tracking, valuation, and accounting for beauty product inventory.
- Expense Tracking : Monitor and categorize company expenses, ensuring proper classification of beauty-related marketing, operational, and supply costs.
- Financial Reporting : Assist in preparing financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Compliance & Audits : Ensure financial data aligns with internal policies and regulatory requirements, assisting with internal and external audits as needed.
- Accounts Reconciliation : Review and reconcile intercompany accounts, ensuring accuracy and consistency between different departments.
- Collaboration : Work closely with internal departments such as marketing, product development, and sales to ensure that financial transactions align with operational activities.
