Description
PLEASE NOTE: Servers and Server Assistant Positions are eligible for gratuity/tips.
Server/Host
- Greet guests promptly and warmly.
- Anticipate business levels, and perform accordingly.
- Set the example of excellence in standards to other staff at all times.
- Efficiently serves food and drinks in a friendly and courteous manner, offers suggestions on daily specials and wine selections.Use guest names wherever possible, and be aware if they are celebrating a special occasion.
- Promote the restaurants, wines, tasting room, wine club and know about upcoming events on property.
- Ensure the Front-of-House looks presentable to the guest.
- Describe the selection of food and beverage menu items to guests by offering interesting, and vivid descriptions to drive sales.
- Provide each item’s taste, origin, and preparation methods.
- Performs clean-up and closing duties .
- Attends pre-meal meetings as requested.
- Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
- Consistently follows local and state laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
Server Assistant/Food Runner
- Deliver food orders to our members and guests accurately
- Double check order to ensure quality and correctness
- Communicate with server orders that are ready to be served
- Follow up with additional member requests and issues
Qualifications
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear, stoop, kneel, crouch,
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and to lift overhead and push/pull, move lighter objects. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, and risk of electric shock.
