Job Overview
As a Host/Server with RRC, you’ll be an essential part of creating a VIP experience for guests in the exclusive seating at The Charleston Music Hall. You will serve our clientele during concerts, events, and private functions, ensuring they receive top-notch service with a personalized touch. Responsibilities
- Guest Service Excellence: Greet and serve guests in the suites with a warm, friendly attitude. Anticipate needs and provide attentive service throughout the event.
- Sales & Up-selling: Suggestively sell beverages and menu items to enhance the guest experience and maximize sales, making tailored recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Order Management: Take orders from guests and communicate them efficiently to the bar using the Point of Sale system. Ensure quick and accurate delivery of drinks and food.
- Maintain Atmosphere: Regularly circulate through the boxes to ensure that the environment remains clean, comfortable, and welcoming for all guests.
- Safety & Sanitation: Adhere to RRC’s high standards of safety, cleanliness, and sanitation. Clean up spills, remove food or trash, and ensure a pristine environment throughout the event.
- Responsible Alcohol Service: Check for IDs or wristbands for guests who appear under 30, and ensure all alcohol service is in accordance of local regulations and RRC’s alcohol policies. If necessary, refuse service courteously and professionally when guests show signs of intoxication.
- Payment Processing: Process payments for orders following RRC’s procedures. Ensure all transactions are accurate and efficiently handled.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow servers and the bar staff to ensure smooth operations during busy event periods, assisting with additional tasks as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a cocktail server or in a similar hospitality role is preferred.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event schedule.
- Must be of legal drinking age and possess any required alcohol service certifications.
- Ability to bend, lift, and carry trays, bus tubs, and other items (up to 25 lbs).
