Company Overview: We are a well-established personal injury law firm seeking a proactive and highly organized Intake/Case Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hospitals, subrogation processes, and health liens, and will play a crucial role in managing client cases by ensuring all medical bills, records, and insurance payments are handled efficiently and effectively. This position requires someone with a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work independently to keep cases on track.
Responsibilities:
• Request and collect all medical bills and records from hospitals and medical providers for clients in a timely manner.
• Ensure hospitals and medical providers have the correct client information and that no records or bills are missing.
• Follow up with hospitals and medical providers to ensure all required documentation is received and verify if insurance payments have been processed.
• Maintain a well-organized system for tracking follow-ups, ensuring no case is overlooked and that deadlines are met without needing constant direction from others.
• Work closely with the subrogation team to coordinate efforts on ensuring accurate handling of medical liens and insurance claims.
• Manage health liens and ensure compliance with applicable laws and firm procedures.
• Communicate with clients to inform them of any missing documents, treatment updates, or changes to their case.
• Assist paralegals and attorneys with various case management tasks, ensuring smooth and efficient case progression.
• Ensure the accuracy and timely submission of medical records, bills, and other critical documentation for cases.
• Keep detailed and organized records of client interactions, follow-up tasks, and case progress.
• Help identify any issues with medical billing or insurance payments and work toward resolution.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as a Case Manager, Paralegal, or in a similar role in a personal injury law firm, with direct experience dealing with hospitals and subrogation.
• Strong understanding of medical billing processes, health liens, and subrogation procedures.
• Ability to work independently and proactively manage multiple cases without constant supervision.
•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to track case progress, follow up on open tasks, and create an efficient system for case management.
•Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with clients, medical providers, and insurance companies professionally.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, case management software, and general office tools.
•Experience with health insurance payments, lien resolution, and coordinating with medical providers is a must.
•Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.
