What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Team Member position at Dank's Wellness Emporium?
Job Purpose
- The Quality Control Team Member’s job is to assist the Quality Control Team with all and any daily tasks needed to complete the company and department mission on a daily basis.
- This includes but is not limited to assisting in intimately assess and appraise all product(s) brought on location by a vendor with the intent of making a sale (based on weight, appearance, smell, consistency, moisture, etc.) to determine whether the product(s) meet(s) Company standards for both quality and price point.
- To process all acquired products into “shelf ready” items for our retail stores or third party stores.
Summary: Objective of the Job
- Assist In thoroughly inspecting all incoming products to determine its cost-to-quality ratio and make necessary adjustments to the original purchase order accordingly.
- Assist In notifying all other parties in the purchasing department of any changes/discrepancies in weight to ensure all new products are input to the POS system accurately.
- Assist In, when/if the product arrives in less-than desirable condition or if the price point is too high based on the quality and they are unwilling to negotiate, reject it.
- Assist In scheduling Vendor Meetings, Sample Drops, Viewings, and all Deliveries.
- Assist In receive and accurately and effectively maintain all Purchase Orders / Invoices / Manifests making sure that each one is sent to the correct person and saved in the correct folder(s) in Google Drive.
- Physical copies of all Purchase Orders / Invoices / Manifests must be kept organized in a file cabinet on site for a minimum of 3 years per local governing agencies.
- Assist Purchase Order Specialist (PO Specialist) to determine needs of all locations and implement Product Transfers to fill holes where required between orders.
- Adhere to the Company’s STRICT minimum quantities for transfer policy to avoid wasting time and labor.
- Applicant must be eligible to receive a transporter license, and be able to drive / deliver inventory to each location, pick up any product transfers, create or secure a copy of a transfer manifest, and physically perform the product counts with each manager to ensure all units that left the origin facility have made it successfully to the destination store and all is accounted for.
- Assist In maintaining traceability requirements for facilities and transport vehicles.
- Assist transporter and set them up for success by effectively communicating with all stores and roles in the Procurement Department to determine all needs are met and nothing is overlooked.
- Balance cash daily, adhering to particular processes and procedures associated
- Process all returns and prepare them for Vendor Pickup / Transfer to Vendor or Destruction.

Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirement
- GOOD AT COUNTING!
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Excellent IT / computer skills.
- Proficiency with G Suites, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Drive.
- Strong decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal competence.
- Oklahoma Resident for the last 2 years with documentation
- Able to receive an OMMA transport card / license
- Ability and confidence in driving delivery vans and vehicles up to 26 feet in length (no CDL required)
- A clean driving record
Qualification/Work Experience
- Detail oriented.
- Comfortable working with numbers and formulas.
- Accurate with counting.
- Computer skills.
- Knowledge about or experience in the cannabis industry.
- Valid OMMA Medical Certification.

- Ability to work effectively and professionally in a fast-paced industry.
- Frequent use of computers, printers, scanners and other electronic devices.
- Repetitive tasks.
- Occasional lifting (10-50 lbs.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
