Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced National Director of Nursing to lead and oversee the clinical operations of our home health care organization across multiple regions. This executive role focuses on maintaining the highest standards of patient care, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing best practices across the organization. The National Director of Nursing will play a critical role in driving clinical excellence, supporting regional leadership, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement clinical policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care nationwide.
- Oversee and support regional and local Directors of Nursing to ensure alignment with organizational goals and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and accreditation standards.
- Analyze clinical performance metrics and lead quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
- Provide strategic guidance on staffing, recruitment, and retention of clinical staff to ensure adequate coverage and high employee satisfaction.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and execute strategic goals related to clinical operations and patient care.
- Serve as the clinical subject matter expert, providing guidance on complex cases and clinical challenges.
- Lead training and professional development initiatives to ensure nursing staff remain updated on best practices and industry standards.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences and events, fostering relationships with key stakeholders and promoting the company’s mission.
- Travel as necessary to provide on-site leadership and support to regional teams.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license in Michigan with the ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 10 years of nursing experience, with 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably in the home health care field.
- In-depth knowledge of home health care regulations, including OASIS, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and accreditation standards (e.g., CHAP, Joint Commission).
- Proven track record of leading clinical operations in a multi-site or national organization.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze data, develop strategies, and implement solutions to improve clinical outcomes and operational performance.
- Willingness to travel nationally as needed (estimated travel: 25-50%).
