Key Responsibilities:
- Metal Stud Framing: Frame walls, ceilings, and partitions using metal studs and track to meet project specifications and blueprints.
- Drywall Installation: Proficiently install drywall based on project requirements, including cutting, fitting, and securing sheets to the structure.
- Acoustical Ceiling Installation: Install acoustical ceiling materials and systems in accordance with project specifications.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with the Superintendent, team members, management, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Quality Control: Ensure that drywall, metal stud framing, and acoustical installations meet high-quality standards, conducting inspections and making necessary adjustments when needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to and promote safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment.
- Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the drywall and metal stud framing installation process.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Drywall Carpenter and Metal Stud Framer or similar role in the construction industry.
- Proficient in drywall installation techniques, metal stud framing, and working with acoustical ceiling materials.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, management, contractors, and clients.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance related to drywall and metal stud framing.
