Overview
A Deepwater Operator B responsible for starting up, operating, monitoring, and shutting down process and utility systems in accordance with safety, environmental, and operational guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Start up, operate, monitor, and shut down process and utility systems.
- Monitor and optimize process parameters (level, flow, temperature, pressure, etc.).
- Ensure sampling and act upon sample results.
- Troubleshoot to maximize sales quality and delivery volume.
- Maintain discharge water quality within guidelines.
- Operate electrical/hydraulic control panels, safety devices, and Fire and Gas Systems.
- Submit accurate production reports daily or as required.
- Witness third-party calibrations for meter verification.
- Prove export oil meters.
- Operate offshore facility to meet customer requirements.
- Test, calibrate, maintain, and inspect equipment.
- Complete mandatory paperwork for customers and government agencies.
- Coordinate facility logistics.
- Handle chemical treating and handling.
- Apply/remove isolations as needed for maintenance operations.
- Operate under Permit to Work (PTW) system, Toolbox Talk, and Risk Assessments.
- Advise maintenance personnel on plant and equipment hazards.
- Maintain clear communications during maintenance operations.
- Supervise vendor and subcontractor activities.
- Foster effective working relationships and a positive work culture.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required.
- 2-4 years of offshore experience.
- Proficiency with Permit to Work processes.
- Medically fit for offshore work per international standards (e.g., ENG1 or equivalent).
