Purchasing and Inventory Manager

Job Description

Danpal North America is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing and Inventory Manager to oversee and optimize the procurement and inventory management processes for our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing supplier relationships, ensuring the availability of goods, tracking inventory levels, and maintaining efficient purchasing procedures. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to manage the supply chain and inventory effectively. This is a full-time position with employment in our Waukegan manufacturing site, with an annual salary range of $60,000 to $75,000 and a comprehensive benefits package. Pay will depend on job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.

Duties:

• Oversee inventory control, including tracking, receipt, stocking, and replenishment of products
• Ensure optimal inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts
• Maintain accurate inventory records and reports
• Conduct physical inventory counts and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate records of purchasing and inventory transactions.
• Identify reliable suppliers, negotiate pricing, and establish long-term relationships
• Manage and process purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to meet project schedules
• Monitor vendor performance and address any supply chain issues or discrepancies
• Forecast purchases based on need for contracted projects
• Other purchasing and inventory miscellaneous responsibilities not specifically listed
  
  

Qualifications:

• Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Project Management, or another relatable field
• Proven experience (3 years) in purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain management
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
