DanSources is seeking an ethusiastic Associate Electrical Engineer to join our team in developing construction work packages for electric distribution systems. This role involves working with various software systems and construction standards in Overhead (OH), Underground (UG), or Underground Residential Distribution (URD) environments. The successful candidate will contribute to joint-use make-ready projects, street light projects, and more.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop construction work packages using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools, Work Management Systems (WMS), and other client systems.
- Perform engineering calculations including structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, transformer sizing, voltage drop and flicker, and coordination of protective devices.
- Prepare forestry trimming requests, facilitate permit and Right-of-Way acquisition, develop Bills of Materials (BOM), estimate costs, and advocate for customers, such as acquiring easements.
- Conduct field investigations by traveling to various project locations throughout the area.
