The ideal candidate will possess 2 years with excellent verbal and written communication skills, 2 years working with youth between the ages of 14-24, and 2 years of scheduling and managing appointments.

Required Skills/Years of Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 years of experience working with youth between the ages of 14-24, providing support, guidance, or services tailored to this age group

The District of Columbia’s Department of Employment Services (DOES) is seeking a General Clerk to tactfully and professionally provide, obtain, and clarify information and respond to customer inquiries. The ideal candidate will possess 2 years with excellent verbal and written communication skills, 2 years working with youth between the ages of 14-24, and 2 years of scheduling and managing appointments.
The General Clerk will be tasked to:
- Communicate both orally and in writing to provide, obtain, and clarify information and respond to customer inquiries
- Use tact and discretion when communicating with customers and dealing with adverse situations
- Maintain professionalism in high-pressure or emotionally charged situations
- Schedule and manage appointments in a youth-focused setting
- Work with youth and families in a customer service capacity
- Manage sensitive or confidential information
- Apply knowledge of personal computers and standard software to complete tasks and address inquiries
- Complete other related duties as assigned
