Superintendent for General Contractor - New Construction and Renovations

Danto Builders is a family-owned construction company focused on commercial, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, multifamily and government projects. You will work directly with the ownership and management, and have opportunity for growth. We have been completing projects in South Florida for over 40 years.

A General Construction Superintendent with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial new construction and / or major renovation (interior and exterior) projects is wanted. Projects are located in the Tri-County area. The superintendent oversees the daily general construction activities at a work site for new construction and major renovation projects. He / she is responsible for but not limited to the overall progress, RFIs, submittals, scheduling and reporting of the project as well as the scheduling and management of workers and the delivery of equipment and materials. The superintendent coordinates and manages the subcontractors to complete the project within the given budget and time frame. He / she resolves contract disputes and completes any necessary change orders. This position entails management of subcontractors, but work with tools may be required. The superintendent must have experience and knowledge of all 16 divisions of construction, including field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Qualifications / Responsibilities:

· Must be able to proficiently read blueprints.

· Must have working knowledge of ProCore.

· Must be able to build relationships with subcontractors, and actively schedule and manage subcontractors to ensure quality control and schedule compliance.

· Help expedite permits and revisions.

· Must be a self-starter, with time management skills and strong work ethic.

· Must be able to conduct themselves professionally with clients, design professionals, inspectors and Owner's Reps.

· Must be detail oriented and only accept quality from subcontractors.

· Must have strong computer and communication skills, written and verbal.

· Must be able to create and maintain a schedule, inspection logs, field notes, daily reports and change orders.

· Assist project manager as required, including RFIs and Submittals.

· Organize and plan job with project manager.

· Review cost and progress weekly.

· Ensure testing, survey and inspection coordination.

· Respond to job reports, phone calls and email communications.

· Enforce quality control.

· Conduct safety meetings and prepare minutes and enforce all safety rules and procedures.

· Keep a clean job site and secure at close of each work day.

· Fluency in Spanish is a plus
