Extended School Year- Reading Specialist
Reports To: ESY Coordinator
Danvers Public Schools is seeking an Extended School Year - Reading Specialist for the ESY program. This is a non-benefited, part-time seasonal position for the 2025 summer. This is a Monday-through-Thursday program, running from July 7, 2025, to August 7, 2025
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Reading Specialist to join our team during the Extended School Year Program (ESY) for students with disabilities.
The Reading Specialist will provide targeted instruction and intervention to students with disabilities attending our Extended School Year Program.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individual and small group reading instruction to students in need of support, focusing on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary.
Design and implement individualized reading intervention plans for students based on their specific needs, using evidence-based strategies and research-supported programs.
Complete required documentation, including progress reports, in a timely and accurate manner.
