Chemical Compounder

The DAP plant in Tipp City, OH is seeking skilled operators with compounding experience for multiple Compounder openings in the Adhesives products area. The Adhesive side of the DAP Plant is Unionized by UAW. Candidates who are team-oriented and work well in a fast-paced environment will find a rewarding career at DAP.

Responsibilities

• Measure devices and weigh batches of chemical products
• Add material to mixers as specified by batch sheets
• Run mixer according to Standard Operating Procedures
• Operate filtering equipment
• Maintain records
• Fill containers and drums; identify and label contents
• Move empty drums and containers to designated areas with forklift
• May be assigned other duties when necessary

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must have basic understanding of manufacturing processes and products required
• Must have knowledge of all compounding techniques, including special formulations and have demonstrated the ability to accurately compound all formulas
• Physical requirements: prolonged standing with occasional walking; bending, twisting, climbing ladders, and lifting/carrying over 50 lbs
• Ability to read and write
• Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures
• Ability to perform job duties in accordance with established safety rules
• Must possess a valid forklift license or become certified within trial period
• Exposure to compounding preferred

Pay & Benefits

Starting pay:

$21.02/hour- 2nd shift

$23.02/hour - 3rd shift

• Sign-on Bonus: $2,000
