Job description
The DAP plant in Tipp City, OH need multiple Line Operator’s for our Adhesive products. The Adhesive side of the DAP Plant is Unionized by UAW. Available Shifts
Must be available to work 2nd and possibly 3rd shift
· 2nd-3:00pm-11:30pm
Responsibilities
· Performs all duties safely.
· Monitors all packaging line filling equipment.
· Monitors all lidding equipment to ensure properly sealed containers.
· Cleans up spills on the line by using scrappers, putty knives and mineral spirits in accordance with plant safety policies and practices.
· Makes minor adjustments to fill and maintain tape on case sealer.
· Contacts maintenance of any packaging not conforming to standard due to malfunctioning equipment or the need for adjustments not normally performed by the Line Operator.
· Maintains paperwork according to line including but not limited to downtime, line checks and RAPCA recordkeeping.
· Maintains good housekeeping with equipment and work area.
· Reads thermometer for temperature reading for RAPCA recordkeeping.
· May be assigned other duties when necessary.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand for prolonged periods; occasional walking and sitting. Bending, twisting, climbing ladders, and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to read and write
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures
- Ability to perform job duties in accordance with established safety rules
- Must be available to work 2nd shift; no shift is guaranteed
Pay & Benefits
2nd shift- $18.12/hour
