We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Representative to join our team. This role combines in-store sales, customer service, and occasional off-site engagement with the local equestrian community. Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet customers in-store, assist with product selection, and provide tailored recommendations to meet their equestrian needs.
- Email & Phone Support: Respond promptly and professionally to customer emails and calls regarding products, order inquiries, and general questions.
- Online Order Fulfillment: Assist with processing, packing, and shipping online orders as needed to ensure a seamless shopping experience for remote customers.
- Product Expertise: Stay updated on the latest equestrian products, trends, and industry knowledge to serve as a resource for customers.
- Merchandising: Maintain a clean and organized store by restocking shelves, creating displays, and keeping the workspace tidy.
- Inventory Management: Support inventory tasks such as receiving shipments and conducting counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Community Engagement: Visit local horse farms to attend trunk shows, deliver orders, and build relationships with the equestrian community.
Qualifications:
- Passion for horses and the equestrian lifestyle.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, including phone and email etiquette.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Retail or sales experience preferred, but not required.
- Physical ability to lift to 20 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work on some weekends and travel locally for events or deliveries.
- Familiarity with tack, apparel, and equestrian equipment is highly desirable.
