The Menu Production Specialist is primarily responsible for the maintenance of menu content for print and web. This position identifies changes and applies required updates in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance. In addition, this role also interfaces across organizational boundaries to ensure that the menu data and the systems used are effectively leveraged to ultimately meet the needs of the brand.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Lead menu deployment including but not limited to: menu versioning, proofing, print procurement and menu distribution.
- Support the timelines and delivery schedules for all print collateral based training materials and communication to the operators related to all new menu printing.
- Manage inventory levels of printed materials and replenishments.
- Support Menu labeling with Menu systems and Nutrition & Allergen teams.
- Manage print vendor relationship to include menu questions, communications and fulfillments.
- Point of contact for operations and provide trouble shooting related to menu questions, communications and fulfillment.
- Manage pricing updates for all menu items, teaming with finance teams.
- 5 years restaurant operations or print production experience
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications: Adobe InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Workfront
- Experience creating/maintaining databases
- Strong PC/Mac computer skills, utilizing custom and standard software; proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor Degree preferred
- 5 years of experience in all phases of prepress and print production to include graphic design and layout, proofing, color printing, and print production
- Ability to analyze and evaluate information and process data
- Builds solid partnerships with cross-functional partners, agencies and/or vendors
- Adjusts scope or resources as appropriate; Mitigates potential risk to the project
- Flexibility to work some evenings/weekends as needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees; able to communicate clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects concurrently, set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment while maintain a high level of accuracy.
