What are the responsibilities and job description for the Milk Billing Coordinator position at Darigold Brand?
Darigold is looking for a Milk Billing Coordinator to join our team. As the Milk Billing Coordinator, you will be a key member of our Northwest Dairy Association (NDA) Finance team. This presents an opportunity to apply your accounting knowledge, hone your current skills while building new ones, engage with a supportive team and gain exposure to several areas within Finance while supporting the milk billing process. The Milk Billing Coordinator will directly support the Producer Accounting Group.
The Milk Billing Coordinator’s role is to enter load sheets and work closely with third parties and Darigold plants to ensure our members are paid timely and accurately. In addition, the Milk Billing Coordinator is responsible for preparing process documentation, cross-training and supporting process improvements within the department. This role is a great introduction to Darigold and a provides an invaluable opportunity to learn the business and establish cross-functional relationships with key stakeholders.
What You Will Do:
- Contribute to an accurate and timely month and year-end close by preparing and balancing of bulk milk load sheets that supports the bi-monthly bulk milk invoices (handler billing), hauler payroll, 3rd party milk purchases and producer payroll processes.
- Contribute to accurate and timely internal and external reporting in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, federal and state regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Contribute to accurate producer weight and component audits, and timely milk balancing.
- Provide back up for others on the Milk Billing team to support handler billings, 3rdparty milk purchases and hauler payroll processes.
- Develop a basic understanding of the Mobile Manifest and legacy systems to promote a consistent process.
- Prepare reconciliations and solve issues regarding Mobile Manifest and legacy systems, producer weights and plant milk receipts.
- Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
- Conduct fluid milk weight and component audits.
- Conduct milk balancing with producers, plants, logistics and customers.
- Conduct compliance audits for plants and haulers to ensure data integrity.
- Communication and coordination with producers, plants, field staff, NDA corporate staff and customers.
- Data entry in Mobile Manifest and other legacy systems to detail milk deliveries and components.
- Compliance reporting for fluid milk movements and sales.
- Ensure that all milk load sheets are entered within 48 hours accordance with Company policy.
- Manage the printing of barcodes and mailing labels process.
- Assist in accurate bi-monthly milk billings.
- Scanning and archiving load sheets.
- Work with IT department as needed to help test and implement system changes.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or another related field.
- Experience in the Food or Manufacturing industry is helpful.
- Experience with a large Accounting system or Oracle preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, including Excel.

- Compensation range: $23.95/hour - $35.92/hour (individual wage based on previous experience, knowledge and skills)
