Position Summary: The Animal Welfare Technician is responsible for providing compassionate care to abandoned and neglected animals. This role involves various tasks, including cleaning animal enclosures, feeding and watering animals, medicating animals as directed, and upkeep of animal care equipment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Cleaning and maintaining dog and cat living spaces
- Feeding and watering animals
- Medicating animals as directed
- Cleaning and maintaining animal care equipment
- Providing compassionate care to all animals
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to reliably commute to worksite.
- The Darlington County Humane Society is a drug free workplace.
