Background Checks Fingerprint Clearance: This involves submitting fingerprints for a criminal background check through the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Child Abuse Index Check: This check verifies if the individual has any substantiated reports of child abuse. Health Clearances Tuberculosis (TB) Clearance: This is often required to demonstrate that the individual is free from tuberculosis. Additional Requirements Mandated Reporter Training: Those who work with children must complete training on how to identify and report child abuse.
