What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automated Equipment Designer position at Dart Container?
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in designing, developing, implementing, and troubleshooting motion control systems, electrical control systems, and automated production equipment. They will also have a solid understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
The ideal candidate will be able to successfully prioritize, and organize projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision, and have strong verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related information. They will also have experience using and programming controls software, HMI and Ladder Logic, and be familiar with 5S procedures.
In this role, you will work closely with a talented team of engineers and technicians to coordinate exciting new equipment initiatives, support equipment installations, and train production staff on best practices. You will also collaborate across departments to gather insights and lead continuous improvement plans that enhance efficiency and safety.
