What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Engineer position at Dart Container?
As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll be a key player in driving our success in safety, quality, and efficiency! You’ll help us hit our Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company standards. Your project management skills will shine as you coordinate exciting new equipment initiatives with a talented team of engineers and technicians.
You’ll troubleshoot and implement innovative engineering solutions, design cutting-edge automated production equipment, and create vital electrical schematics and control systems. Plus, you’ll support equipment installations, perform power requirement calculations, and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that elevate our operations.

We can hire at a Mid or Sr Level based on experience!
What you will need to bring:
- Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in engineering or related field of study and three (3) years of related engineering experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
- Experience designing, developing, implementing and troubleshooting motion control systems, including variable frequency drives and servo control
- Experience designing, developing, implementing and troubleshooting electrical control systems such as PLC, relay logic, and control networks, production equipment automation, and industrial controls networks
- Experience using and programming controls software
- Experience using HMI and Ladder Logic
- Experience with 5S procedures
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of products
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Ability to successfully prioritize, and organize projects, deadlines, and tasks with little supervision in both team and independent environments
- Strong verbal and written skills necessary to communicate intricate job-related information
