Position Purpose
This position serves as an operational leader and collaborator – with the primary focus on the management of capital project turnover from the project management team to operations. The purpose includes ensuring development and application of turnover process guidelines and checklists, provision of required documentation and training, and quality assurance of the delivered project. The position is charged with leading the effort to define, communicate and achieve an efficient and collaborative transition including asset documentation and inclusion in the work order system for planned and preventive maintenance activities. The position has responsibilities that include leadership, facilitation, and advising and requires cross functional collaboration and coordination with colleagues in project management, operations, engineering, and the Facilities Customer Service Center.
Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp
Bachelors plus 6 or more years' experience or combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, facilities management, or a similar field.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify as a Dartmouth Approved Driver.
- 10 years of experience facilities management – with a strong preference for a trades or operations background.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and certifications in sustainability or high-performance buildings.
- Experience in a complex campus environment.
- Experience in commissioning and project management.
- Experience with planned and preventive maintenance programs and systems.
