Competitive Salary Ranges
Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center offers competitive salary ranges for Registered Technicians starting at $17.00 per hour and Certified Technicians at $22.00 per hour, with increases based on prior experience.
Apprenticeship Program
Our Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Program provides a pathway for individuals new to pharmacy to gain skills, knowledge, and college credit while working towards certification.
Responsibilities:
- Answers Phones
- Prepares prescriptions and non-prescription medication
- Stocks and replenishes stock locations and automated dispensing machines
- Communicates supply issues or discrepancies to relevant personnel
Qualifications:
Registered Technicians:
- At least 16 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2 years of customer service experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required within 9 months
Certified Technicians:
- Associates degree in a health-related field preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
- Ability to multitask and maintain composure under stressful situations
Required Licensure/Certifications:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the NH Board of Pharmacy required
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required
- BLS Certification required within 30 days for Pharmacy Technicians in Retail or Specialty Pharmacy if administering immunizations
