POSITION SUMMARY:
The DAS Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) construction projects. This role ensures that DAS installations are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The Construction Manager will work closely with project teams, contractors, vendors, and clients to deliver high-quality DAS solutions that meet or exceed expectations.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Generate bid packages and levels of effort (LOE) for internal and external customers.
Directly advise and influence decisions of Project Managers in all aspects of construction work.
Actively participate in and make recommendations in vendor selection process.
Attend deployment and other customer meetings as subject matter expert.
Develop customer relationships that may result in influencing customers to award service work to DTS.
Make regular trips to sites during construction, including bid walk, preconstruction walk, in-progress site visits, punch walks and construction closeout.
Provide direction to general contractors when doing ground work
Understand prevailing rates for all construction work and ensure DTS is receiving competitive rates for quality work
Responsible to negotiate costs within scope of project, hold vendor accountable to ensure budget is maintained; ensure Project Managers and customers are aware of issues that will impact project completion or cost
Responsible for problem solving issues that may occur onsite and make recommendations based on priority and need to ensure the project and budget are maintained.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with construction standards, processes, and procedures.
Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained for projects and appropriate closeout documents are distributed in a timely manner and are in accordance with corporate and customer standards.
Ensure that all jobs are maintained in a project tracking system with complete accuracy.
Act as safety observer and Quality Assurance representative while at the site, ensuring compliance with DTS’s safety program and related workmanship practices.
CAPABILITIES & KEY COMPETENCIES:
Knowledge of DAS and Small Cell construction methods and practices
Familiarity with test equipment and techniques for performing RF Sweep test, OTDR, and Passive Intermodulation (PIM) testing
Working knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications.
2 years of experience in DAS construction management.
Strong knowledge of DAS technology, RF principles, and wireless communication systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This role requires both office work and frequent travel to construction sites.
Must be able to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.
