Laboratory Accessioner

The Laboratory Accessioner will assist with logging, categorizing, and preparing samples for the Laboratory Technologists and Supervisors. This individual must be organized, detail oriented, and willing to keep excellent records as this role requires for processing samples without errors.
What you’ll do:
- Accession incoming samples and notify necessary personnel of issues.
- Generate and process lab orders.
- Work with client representatives to help resolve sample issues.
- Provide pre-analytical and post-analytical laboratory support.
- Assist with training new employees and stocking inventory when needed.
- Provide general support of daily operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
What you have:
- A high school diploma is required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology, Biological Science, or related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of common DNA testing procedures for sample prep
- Basic understanding of QC and QA within a clinical laboratory setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
