Pre-litigation Paralegal
Dashevsky, Horwitz, Kuhn, Novello & Shorr, P.C., (dashevskylaw.com), was founded in 1952 upon strong ethics, old-fashioned values and the desire to work in an intimate environment where long-term relationships can be developed.
We are looking to hire a full-time Paralegal for our personal injury firm located in Center-City Philadelphia.
The Paralegal will manage a caseload in an independent manner with heavy client contact.
RESPONSIBILITIES for the Paralegal:
*Summarizes cases and prepares reports for attorneys.
*Conducts research, investigates facts, and develops legal arguments.
*Organizes and archives the documents related to completed and ongoing cases.
REQUIREMENTS for the Paralegal:
*Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook with the ability to create and edit complex presentations, tables, etc.
*Must have experience with processing PIP claims in PA and NJ.
*Prior experience at a law firm is beneficial.
*PA Notary beneficial (ability to become a PA Notary if not one already).
*Attention to detail.
*Ability to demonstrate initiative and independence in carrying out multiple tasks, as well as critical thinking and problem-solving.
*Ability to work well with all colleagues and demonstrates strong partnering skills.
*Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and produce accurate work despite frequent interruptions.
