Nature and Scope
DASNY provides financing and construction services to public and private universities, not-for-profit healthcare facilities and other institutions that serve the public good. DASNY is divided into five major divisions: Construction Services, Counsel, Executive Direction, Finance, and Public Finance and Portfolio Monitoring.
Primary Purpose
Under the supervision of the Senior Opportunity Programs Group Analyst, the Student Intern- Opportunity Programs Group (Junior Analyst) will:
- Assist with monitoring contract compliance for Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) utilization on construction and constructed related awards, including but not limited to the assistance in the following:

- Updating contract logs to monitor various portfolios. Creating digital files for contracts to be maintained on shared network drive.
- Sending quarterly reporting reminder notices internally and externally Providing technical assistance to vendors and/or funding recipients reporting compliance.
- Compiling, analyzing, and reporting expenditure data.
- Issuing non-compliance notices when vendors and/or funding recipients are not in compliance.
- Creating and maintaining tracking sheets for all contracts with MWBE and SDVOB subcontractors to monitor all contract compliance submissions.
- Assist with process improvement and PMWeb implementation and testing.
- Review agency solicitations and solicitation responses received for diversity and inclusion.
- Participate in events relevant to department statewide.
- Create and maintain various spreadsheets and databases.
Essential Functions
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of PC applications such as Outlook, Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a full-time matriculated undergraduate (sophomore level or above), or first year graduate student pursuing a degree in political science, sociology, urban affairs, or data analytics & data management.
Essential Skills
