What are the responsibilities and job description for the FACILITIES MAINTENANCE MECHANIC position at Dassault Aviation?
PRINCIPAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS) : (Identify functions affecting the airworthiness of the aircraft by using the prefix "CRITICAL")
- Performs general basic maintenance duties in connection with repair, modification, preventive maintenance or installation of company facilities and equipment.
- Reads and interprets basic blueprints, wiring diagrams and repair manuals.
- Operates equipment : electric hammer, grinder, drill press, sander, power saw, etc.
- Performs various housekeeping and grounds keeping duties to maintain internal and external facilities and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Works in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and Company safety procedures.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Completes daily work logs for time and costs tracking.
- Operates / drives Company vehicle to get parts, etc.
- Operates required lifting equipment : (forklifts and man-lifts)MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- High school diploma or GED with technical school or 2 years on-the-job training in building trades / industrial maintenance .
- Valid state driver's license in order to operate a company vehicle
- Highly motivated hands-on learner with an excellent work ethic
- Adequate written and verbal communication skills in English
- Perform minor repairs in multi-trades under the direction of a skilled mechanic
- Read and interpret basic wiring diagrams and equipment repair manuals.
- Set up and operate standard building equipment.
- Required trade hand tools.
- Able to lift 50 pounds, work from ladders / platforms, walk long distances, climb, stand, and kneel for extended periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
