What are the responsibilities and job description for the AVIONICS FABRICATOR I position at Dassault Falcon Jet Corp?
JOB SUMMARY:
Utilize basic knowledge of aircraft wiring by following blueprints, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, plug sheets and any approved data applicable to build the wire harness.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Interpret and follow complex wiring diagrams and schematics.
Route, fasten and interconnect avionics electrical harness and associated hardware to all specified locations.
Perform pin-to-pin continuity check on harnesses by using volt/ohm meter to include fault isolation and repair.
Accurately log computerized labor data collection for time and attendance tracking.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Complete task within assigned time limits.
Determines work to be accomplished to complete assignments within established schedules and plans accordingly.
Assist other personnel on specific job assignments.
Work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
NON-PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
As assigned by the supervisor.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High school education or equivalent.
Physical hand strength and dexterity to use common hand tools, electrical crimping tools, and able to secure harness with clamps and other devices.
Lift/transport up to 35 pounds and stock parts on shelves above shoulder level with or without reasonable accommodation.
Able to frequently stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance and stoop.
Able to identify and distinguish wire colors.
Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
Ability to work from Avionics FES’s, DGT’s and DGQT’s that apply to avionics fabrication.
Able to solder wires/connections in a confined space.
Knowledge of plated part assembly
ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Able to solve practical problems when needed.
Computer literacy with experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Typical factory environment. May work in areas with high noise levels and limited climate control. Area can be dusty at times from glues and composite materials.
