The Consulting Manager is responsible for leading teams of service professionals toward profitable and sustained high-quality delivery of services to customers. A Consulting Manager is responsible for developing and managing the overall customer experience for select clients, including delivering projects on time/on budget, expanding business opportunities, and leading delivery teams. The Consulting Manager will help identify, develop, close and successfully manage client opportunities including assisting with the management of deal structure and profitable delivery supervision. The Consulting Manager is responsible for ensuring that engagement work products and deliverables are of the highest quality to ensure client satisfaction. The Consulting Manager will also direct the business, technical, and personnel aspects of consulting engagements for our NetSuite practice and assist with pre-sales efforts with existing and prospective clients. In addition, this role will support the execution of our NetSuite Practice marketing, sales, and consulting plans and includes the following related activities:
Key Consulting Responsibilities:
● Own P&L responsibility for individual projects.
● Understand key business drivers and demonstrate business acumen.
● Direct and manage the overall and day-to-day business execution of client projects to ensure quality products, solutions, and deliverables.
● Manage relationships with clients, maintaining frequent and direct contact with client staff and senior-level executives.
● Identify, define, develop and implement techniques to improve engagement productivity, increase efficiency, mitigate risk, resolve issues and achieve cost savings for our clients.
● Monitor and direct others to act in accordance with company initiatives, processes and methodology.
● Proactively seek/create opportunities to participate in client interactions to ensure the highest levels of customer satisfaction are achieved
● Ensure project deliverables meet and/or exceed client expectations
● Develop and maintain positive relationships with key client/partner/stakeholders to ensure effective communication channels exist and client/partner satisfaction is achieved
● Oversee the structuring of consulting engagements and support contracts to ensure they are properly scoped to meet the customer’s requirements and profitability.
● Lead efforts in building the overall client relationship in existing accounts, including relevant pre-sales activities, building senior management client/partner relationships, qualifying projects, understanding requirements, delivering presentations and proposals, and closing new business
● Direct delivery of all projects ina defined area; ensuring projects are completed at or ahead of schedule, costs are managed to budget, and customer expectations are exceeded
● Promote value billing and efficiency in service delivery
● Develop subject matter expertise on practice products and serve as an escalation point for any implementation issues
● Advise teams on maintaining timelines. Provide leadership and direction to consulting teams in project delivery
Sales Support Tasks: (functional)
● Assisting in Business Development
● Assisting leads\prospects (adding value through delivery of intro package, connect via Email, Phone, LinkedIn etc. and document interactions in Daston’s client database in NetSuite)
● Demonstrating our products
● Supporting Partner Sales Teams (Frequent contact\follow-up with stakeholders and prompt response to questions on product, DCAA compliance and working with NetSuite Practice Executive to provide estimates, SOWs etc.)
● Assisting with lead identification activities (making LinkedIn connections, populating Daston's CRM database etc.)
● Assisting with marketing activities through providing administrative support for blogs, white papers, demonstrations and webinars as needed
Job Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, computer science, information technology or equivalent, required.
● Government Contractor experience required.
● A consulting background with a record of delivering Enterprise Relationship Planning (ERP) solutions within defined time frames and budgets.
● Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
● Strong business expertise, keen understanding of business needs, and ability to ensure technical solutions, strategies, practices, and governance deliver business and customer value.
