This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and control systems in a food processing environment, ensuring equipment reliability, safety, and compliance with industry standards.

Principal Accountabilities:Manufacturing Process Reliability & Maintenance
- Perform preventative maintenance, including Annual PMs.
- Troubleshoot and repair -controlled systems, sensors, and industrial control devices.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electronic-controlled equipment, plant instrumentation, and data collection systems.
- Utilize oscilloscopes, VOMs, and other test equipment to diagnose and repair control devices.
- Work with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Ladder Logic programming.
- Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, single-lines, and wiring schematics.
Safety, Health, and Environment
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) certification.
- Identify and correct unsafe conditions in the workplace.
- Participate in and support the Hazmat team.
Technical Responsibilities
- Operate standard maintenance tools including power tools, hand tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues without direct supervision.
- Identify and follow up on maintenance issues requiring further action.
- Work with serial communication troubleshooting (/PC communication, barcode readers, RFID, etc.).
- Assist in developing preventative maintenance procedures for electronic control systems.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain detailed work records, including work orders, labor hours, and job descriptions.
- Provide daily pass-down reports to communicate ongoing issues and resolutions.
- Ensure proper tool accountability and parts reconciliation after completing maintenance tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Electrical/Maintenance Journeyman License in Michigan.
- Experience in Maintenance (preferably in a food processing environment).
- and troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, and wiring schematics.
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.
- Experience using RTD calibrators, digital multimeters, and 4-20 mA calibration units.
- Willingness to work weekend and off-shift hours as required.
- Ability to be part of the Hazmat team.
