What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator position at Data Center Service Group LLC?
Data Center Service Group seeking an enthusiastic professional to be “Logistics Coordinator” with the company. The position’s work will be based out of the warehouse/office in Sterling VA but will include travelling to and around the DC/MD/VA area when required.
The position’s compensation is paid at an hourly rate, and the work tends to be in Monday-Friday. In occasions, some after-hours/weekend work might be required but rarely.
Job Requirements:
· Must possess a DOT license; will consider applicants without a DOT license, however, one must be obtained within probationary period or DCSG has the right to terminate employment.
· Must qualify and be approved to be on the DCSG vehicle insurance policy.
· Must be 21 years of age
· Must uphold the DCSG standard of quality workmanship and excellent professionalism.
· Must be committed to organizational success and be proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
· Candidate must be able to perform heavy lifting of times of up to 50lbs
· Must be able to operate a forklift.
· Strong communications skills and Excellent organizational capacity

Job Duties:
· Responsible for deliveries and pickups from work sites, via Company truck/vehicle, mostly in assistance to the DCSG battery and restoration teams.
· Receive and send out/load shipments at the warehouse.
· Coordinate and handle logistics with other vendors and companies (dumpster pickups, truck rentals, etc)
· Assist in ordering, distribution, and organization of DCSG “uniforms” (PPE safety gear, clothing etc.); maintain inventory.
· Order and receive materials required for company jobs at work sites with possible delivery to those sites
· Handle and Organize Company vehicle/truck inventory (making sure maintenance is done, inspections/emissions, bring in for repairs when needed, etc.)
· Help Create and maintain an inventory/tracker for company assets, from tools to parts (test equipment, pallet jacks, etc.)
· Be the main local contact at the DCSG warehouse/office, answering front door for visitors and guests if no other staff is present, checking and distributing mail, etc.
· Keep the warehouse environment organized and clean; take out trash, etc.
· Ensure accuracy of orders and shipping documents
· Coordinate scrap battery and material pick-ups (assist in stripping of wire, etc.)
· Maintain current test equipment calibrations (volt meters, etc.)
· Responsible for coordination and pickup/drop-off of any equipment rentals (lifts, etc.)
· Identify and fix shipping errors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
